Jewel Riano #34 on the 2019 Covered Bridge Art Studio Tour stop Oct. 11-13th

Fine art Printmaking is Jewell’s primary method of artist expression – her inspiration comes from the process itself. She works spontaneously, immersed in creating a design, and leaves detail until last. First, she makes a collagraph, by arranging interesting shapes and textures directly on an inked plate and printing on a large press. The print is then enhanced by added color with stencils, defining composition and design, and finished by rendering with vibrant colored pencils.
