Kerry Tharp #34 on the 2022 Covered Bridge Art Studio Tour stop Oct. 7-9th

Kerry Tharp is a Wisconsin mosaic artist who ‘paints’ with art glass. Her representational art depicts peaceful surroundings of Upper Michigan and Wisconsin, often scenes of water and woods and occasionally, an irresistible feathery friend. Specific glass cutting techniques result in organic-shaped tesserae. With intentional placement via andimento, they form “brushstrokes” that breathe movement and energy into her work. She has been a member of the Cedarburg Artists’ Guild for 13 years.

Lynn Rix #39 on the 2022 Covered Bridge Art Studio Tour stop Oct. 7-9th

"Lynn Rix began painting in 1995 while living in the south of France.
She was physically and emotionally compelled to try to put down on canvas the beauty of the area. An inspiration that has sustained her in the pursuit of creating the fresh canvas in an impressionistic manner “en plein air “. Rix paints because she loves the challenge of looking at a familiar scene and simplifying it into shapes, colors and her own vision. Painting from life outside, with quick brush work and a limited palette, she is forced to work spontaneously before the light changes. The Wisconsin rural landscape and small towns in all four of its unique seasons, gives her endless inspiration. In a boat in the summer or on the ski hill in the winter, Rix embraces it all with her joyful painting."

Bridget DeLoge #34 on the 2022 Covered Bridge Art Studio Tour stop Oct. 7-9th

"Bridget enjoys the duality that stained glass and watercolor offers, allowing the color and transparency of watercolor to flow through her work, but also flourishing in the technical skill of stained glass. She likes to create anything that comes to mind, letting the glass speak to her.
Her signature style is to push the boundaries of stained glass by incorporating the elements of nature into many of her pieces. Her blend of glass, watercolor, and elements found in nature like driftwood, create pieces that are truly one-of-a-kind."
