Laura
Weber is a fiber artist focusing in the area of functional and sculptural
basketry.
Laura
first learned basket making like many before her, in the homes of others who
taught the craft, whether out of the necessity of creating useful
vessels, or a desire to pass on an ancient craft to future generations.
She
further developed her techniques from accomplished basket artists who teach at
workshops and conferences across the country. Laura currently works out of her
studio in the Woolen Mill Building in Cedarburg, WI.
With
a desire to further promote an appreciation of this traditional craft, and to
pass on the knowledge and skills to preserve it, Laura teaches basket weaving
classes at The Pink Llama Gallery in Cedarburg, WI. A schedule of classes can
