During a summer study of art
history and drawing in Italy in college Mary Ellen fell in love with etchings
and architecture. Her career has centered on the creation of beautiful etchings
monoprints and oil paintings with a wide variety of themes; many influenced by
her travels in Ireland, Europe and
our wonderful United States.
Mary Ellen and her son Daniel
Dean Mueller self published an alphabet book titled “A is for
Amaryllis”incorporating the alphabet using the illuminated letter fashioned
after a 1500’s children’s alphabet woodcut and teamed with flowers that begin
with that letter and their meaning.
