Pamela Ruschman #29 on the 2018 Covered Bridge Art Studio Tour stop Oct. 12-14th

Pamela Ruschman is an oil painter who grew up on a dairy farm in Southwestern Wisconsin.  The rolling hills, vistas and barns from this area of the state provide continual inspiration.  After spending twelve years in the advertising industry, she decided to pursue the idea of painting full time.  Often, Pamela can be found plein air painting along a quiet country roadside or near a dairy farm capturing the livestock, landscape and beauty of Wisconsin on canvas.  In 2017, Pamela was chosen as the Wisconsin Collection Featured Artist for Milwaukee Public Television.

Covered Bridge Art Studio Tour 2018

45 Artists  Mequon to Newburg

will open their studio spaces to the public on the weekend of

October 12-14, 2018

for the free self-guided Ozaukee and Washington County

Covered Bridge Art Studio Tour

Thirty-six years, this event began as a studio and gallery tour in historic Cedarburg. Today, it is a unique opportunity for people to get an up close and personal look at some of Southeastern Wisonsin's finest artists and the spaces in which they work. Art comes in many forms, and the Tour encompasses almost every artistic style and medium that is popular today, from paintings and drawings to photography, sculptures, fiber arts, ceramics, jewelry, printmaking, glass, woodworking and forging iron.

The colorful Autumn rural drive between locations encompasses farm fields, pumpkin patches, Lake Michigan shoreline, picturesque small towns and even a 1876 wooden covered Bridge, one of the few remaining in Wisconsin. To add to the fun, many of the studio spaces are in restored stores, mills and barns. Most of the artists will be creating art during the event. They are always happy to stop what they're doing to greet visitors, talk with guests about their inspirations and artisitc process and sell their artwork to interested buyers.
