Pamela Ruschman’s passion is centered on the livestock and
landscape of Wisconsin. Pamela is an oil
painter who grew up on a dairy farm in Southwestern Wisconsin. As a child, the rolling hills, vistas, barns
and animals filled her creative imagination.
Today, Pamela can often be found plein air painting along a quiet
country roadside capture the livestock, landscape and beauty of Wisconsin on
canvas.

Rix loves the
challenge of looking at a familiar scene and simplifying it into shapes, colors
and her own vision. She paints in oil,
alla prima and primarily en plein air , with quick brush work and a limited
palette. The Wisconsin landscape, towns
and seasons are her inspiration. Rix has
been juried in to many shows and her paintings can be found in numerous private
and public collections.

Jewell enjoys both acrylic painting and printmaking. She works from her home studio after making collagraphs on large presses at the Ozaukee Art Center in Cedarburg. Her dynamic prints are inspired by the art media and process itself – each print is enhanced by added color with stencils, defining composition and design, and the final details are rendered with vibrant colored pencils

Ellen Anderson #29 on the 2016 Covered Bridge Art Studio Tour stop Oct 7-9th
Come see the woods and river, and the studio where Ellen
Anderson finds inspiration for her many oil on canvas paintings! Exploring the large and small drama played
out in light and land, where owls, fox and other native fauna connect with a
glance.
Ellen’s work has been in the Wisconsin Wildlife Exhibition
at the Miller Art Museum in Sturgeon Bay, the Hidden
River Arts Festival in Brookfield, the Plymouth Art Center, Art & Soul
Gallery, Milwaukee, and will be featured next year at the Boerner Gardens. She has illustrated for National Wildlife
Federation and is nationally published illustrator in watercolor. This weekend she also offers small whimsical
framed Holiday illustrations and children’s books from her watercolor life.

Bridget DeLoge #28 on the 2016 Covered Bridge Art Studio Tour stop Oct 7-9th
Bridget DeLoge has
been interested in stained glass since she was a high school student. After
graduation, she went on to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a concentration
in watercolor. Although painting was a main focus in college, she never gave up
on the idea of a future in Stained Glass. After a few opportunities
opened up in recent years, she began her Stained Glass business. She likes to
create anything that comes to mind, while working with the many colors and
types of glass. One of her favorite things to create are portraits of family
pets. With a provided image, she finds it challenging to pick out just the
right details, to represent the pet’s personal character.
Alice Struck #27 on the 2016 Covered Bridge Art Studio Tour stop Oct 7-9th
Alice Struck paints impressionistic scenes of Wisconsin, especially iconic
Ozaukee landscapes, cityscapes and plain air watercolors. She also captures
close up nature subjects, wildlife, and portraits. Alice accepts commissions,
and teaches watercolor classes at the Cedarburg Cultural Center to Continuing
and Beginning students. During the Studio Tour, she will demonstrate techniques
at 2:00 both Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
William Davis #26 on the 2016 Covered Bridge Art Studio Tour stop Oct 7-9th
A retired architect, Bill now paints and sketches in
watercolor and pencil in an impressionistic manner that borders on the
realistic. His paintings are often
landscapes, cityscapes, waterfront images, and indigenous structures in their
natural surroundings.

William Bujanovic #24 on the 2016 Covered Bridge Art Studio Tour stop Oct 7-9th
"A self taught artist of many years having formally been introduced to art
as a participant of an Alverno Summer Arts Program in the 1970's, William has
explored various media to include photography, oil and acrylic painting.
He especially enjoys expressing himself through the creation of multimedia
folk art. In addition to a collection of bold landscape oils, prepare yourself
for William's Folk Art Presentation of "Cedarfish." An avid historic
preservationist, William has always been fascinated with the designs of
Frank LLoyd Wright and for this reason enjoys architectural photogrphy.
Having studied Black and While photography while attending Caroll College,
in this inaugural tour William will also feature his series titled,
"Bridges of Milwaukee."

Susan Hale is a contemporary colorist landscape painter. Her
work is known for its sense of joy and optimism. “Color is magic to me”, she
says. She loves to paint plein air and in her studio, a converted 1860’s
fieldstone summer kitchen in rural Cedarburg.

Mary Ellen Mueller #21 on the 2016 Covered Bridge Art Studio Tour stop Oct 7-9th
During a summer study of art
history and drawing in Italy in college Mary Ellen fell in love with etchings
and architecture. Her career has centered on the creation of beautiful etchings
monoprints and oil paintings with a wide variety of themes; many influenced by
her travels in Ireland, Europe and
our wonderful United States.
Mary Ellen and her son Daniel
Dean Mueller self published an alphabet book titled “A is for
Amaryllis”incorporating the alphabet using the illuminated letter fashioned
after a 1500’s children’s alphabet woodcut and teamed with flowers that begin
with that letter and their meaning.

Laura
Weber is a fiber artist focusing in the area of functional and sculptural
basketry.
Laura
first learned basket making like many before her, in the homes of others who
taught the craft, whether out of the necessity of creating useful
vessels, or a desire to pass on an ancient craft to future generations.
She
further developed her techniques from accomplished basket artists who teach at
workshops and conferences across the country. Laura currently works out of her
studio in the Woolen Mill Building in Cedarburg, WI.
With
a desire to further promote an appreciation of this traditional craft, and to
pass on the knowledge and skills to preserve it, Laura teaches basket weaving
