This summer we celebrate our 7th
anniversary and 40th exhibition with a show called BIG IDEAS. Please join us Friday, June 8, 5:00-7:00, for the opening reception. This exhibition features the
work of Tom Bamberger, Emily Belknap, Tom Loeser, and Katie Ries, along with a
Community Garden Wall of flowers by over 30 artists.

enjoy an evening of poetry with Milwaukee poet laureate Roberto
Harrison at Gallery 224, with a special appearance by Miles
Stimac, local poet and Port Washington High School senior.
Saturday, August 4, 8:00-3:00, the
third annual Port Washington plein air event Paint-Out Port. More information to
come.

opening reception for the Paint-Out Port exhibition at Gallery
224. This is a pop up exhibition featuring the plein air paintings created
during the Paint-Out. The exhibition will be up through August 25.
Summer hours begin in June; Gallery 224 will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00-2:00.
We welcome Cassandra Webb as our Summer Intern. Cassie is going to be a
junior at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in the fall.
Studio 224 Update: Artist in residence, Nicole Shaver
is in Iceland this summer where she is working on a series of paintings and
drawings that speak to the transient nature of place. Richard Taylor
is featured this month on our website, read more about Richard here. Berel Lutsky
is co-coordinating the Really Big Prints event at UW
Manitowoc, July 11-14 and artist Brian
Galloway will be printing at the event for Studio 224. Studio 224 is open
to the public every Saturday from 10:00-1:00.
